Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized QuickBooks Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting and financial recordkeeping activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end reporting. This role requires strong QuickBooks experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and process invoices, customer payments, and vendor payments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
  • Enter and categorize financial transactions accurately and timely.
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure accounting records are up to date.
  • Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting.
  • Prepare financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on collections as needed.
  • Maintain vendor files, customer records, and supporting documentation.
  • Support tax preparation by organizing financial records and working with external CPAs or tax advisors.
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
